Does anybody know about a successful x2.3 cnc conversion?

It looks like this might be a nice machine to start with for me.

Wasting your time with the 2.3.
If you fancy this range of machines get the 2.7, virtually same size table but bigger Z travel and weights 19Kg more so a bit more rigid and there is virtually no difference in price.

As regards a kit, too new and you will have to roll your own. If I was doing one for CNC I'd go for the SX version as the brushless motor is far better.

John S. Thanks for sharing your advice.

Iam trying to make a choice between the x-2l and x2.3.

The x-2l only has a 350w motor .. and plastic gears?!? And does not look as stiff. Also has more limited xy table / movement..

x-2l and x2.3 are now the about the same price here... it looked like a great deal... i am not aware of anybody selling x2.7 around here.
Or what pricing would be like for the x2.7...

The x2.3 would be the pimped out drill with milling options for me.. able to produce some alu parts for a bigger multi purpose machine.

I would try to do cnc conversion on the x2.3 before a diy steel frame 700mm x 1400mm cnc machine.

Do you feel like the x2.3 would fit my needs better than a x-2l could?
