I've searched about a bit and couldn't find what I was after so thought I would ask. Has anyone found a pocket size g code book? Looking for a small book listing the code with a basic explanation of function, no programming examples or any other stuff.
As I've just found out our new bevelling laser is running g code and not essi so it would be handy until I find a couple of spare brain cells to store it in.

Online rather than a book but I always find myself referring to this (http://linuxcnc.org/docs/html/gcode/g-code.html).

Yes as Neale has linked to is good BUT always have in mind that the flavours of Gcode can be different on different controllers. G76 threading is one example.

This http://www.machsupport.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Mach3Mill_1.84.pdf is a useful publication, with a section on gcode.

Had a quick look on Amazon, there are a few books on gcode (CNC) but a heap of crap on G-code (religion).

I was after a pocket book but they don't seem to exist, at least I cant find any.
The programming manual for the machine has arrived so I have printed out the relevant sections.
