www.OnCreate3D.com is the first full cloud 3D CAM app. It runs in a web browser and on any mobile device. Simply import a CAD File and choose a project type such as Mill, Lathe or SheetMetal. Many file formats such as STL / IGES / STEP are supported.

Create Operations to cut the part. Mill 3D supports Pocket, Contour, Parallel, Radial, Pencil and many more operations. Mill 2D supports Pocket, Contour, Rest Area operations. Lathe supports Turning, Facing, Grooving and many more operations. Mill 2D & Lathe will be introduced soon. You can Simulate the operations to check for gouges, spikes, undercutting etc.

Create NC File for all selected operations by providing basic information about the controller options. That's it. You are ready to take NC File to your controller.

Added few interesting features to recent deployment at OnCreate3D portal

Mill-2D Operations:

OnCreate3D has Mill-2D project type that allows import of DXF file for 2D Contour, 2D Pocket and 2D rest mill toolpaths.

Sharing projects with others:

OnCreate3D, First Full Cloud CAM app, makes life easy for Design Engineers & Machinists, by allowing to share their project(s) with other users (operators, decision makers etc.) Machinist seating at his remote office can create NC Files for CNC Machines in his production facility. He can simply share his project with operator who can download NC File and run the machine. The machine that Machinist programmed for is busy? No problem, operator can configure POST to output new NC File for different CNC Machine. Create toolpath operations only once and use it for different locations, different machines multiple times. Machinist doesn't want operator to change his toolpath operations? Simply give READ permission. Machinist wants to allow operator to edit toolpath parameters to suit machining conditions? Give him WRITE permission.

20936

Toolpath simulation:

OnCreate3D has introduced toolpath simulation to visually check for correctness of toolpaths before downloading NC Files. You can play/Pause any time, you can speed up/down anytime. Although it is simple simulation for time being, we are working on showing updated stock after every operation. The feature is coming soon. Stay tuned.

20937

20938

Customizing POST parameters:

Users can now customize POST parameters and generate correct sequence of commands in NC File.

20939

User Interface:

We constantly strive to make it better. New icons for toolpaths depict the purpose better than before. Operations tree view is now resizable and can be moved on graphics window for your convenience.

We are working on bringing nesting to OnCreate3D. Stay tuned.

OnCreate3D Introduces Stock definition, display and use in roughing toolpaths.

Latest build of OnCreate3D has introduced stock definition. As the CAD File is uploaded in new project, stock is automatically calculated and shown for the part in CAD File. User can modify or reset the stock, as well as hide/show stock. The stock volume is used for roughing toolpaths namely parallel, plunge and pocket.

Latest build has also introduced STEP import, fast forward and rewind options for simulation, Customized NC out, standard APT output and few other enhancements. Check out latest build at OnCreate3D. Just sign-up for FREE unlimited projects and unlimited NC File downloads until June 30, 2017.

It's nice that you continue to document the gradual development of this, I might give it a whirl once you've added enough functionality.

What prices are you thinking? And how will you compete with free 0$ Fusion 360???? You need a free plan i am thinking. Really free, no gimmicks.

Is it truly "Full Cloud" with no local storage option?

Your product looks very useful. But given yet another learning curve. Surely your eventual cost needs to be indicated now, for objective decisions by any prospective users.

Yes, It is Full Cloud app. No storage on local device at all. The part you import, toolpath operations you create get stored on Azure storage. Only NC File download is saved in your download folder on local device. Not a single byte installed on your local machine as well, except for few java scripts downloaded to your cashe to run in browser just like any other web app.

Hope you will enjoy working on OnCreate3D. We have good toolpaths in place, good simulation in place and project sharing in place for you to try out.

Regards.

It is not necessary for OnCreate3D to be free to compete with Fusion 360. I guess users will pay for good product if it increases their efficiency and productivity. Off-course a subscription pricing has to be substantially lower than one time buy products. We are working on pricing aspects.

I understand your view. But really learning curve is very small, if user is familiar with any one CAM systems. Nevertheless, we are working on pricing and announce it soon.

Yes, It is Full Cloud app. No storage on local device at all.

That's me out then, I'd only consider that if it was free and then for minor hobby use only.
What happens if your company is run over by a bus?
I use local NAS box storage rather than cloud storage so I have access to all my data 24-7 regardless of Internet connectivity issues [3 X 5.4Tb RAID5 boxes in 3 different physical locations BTW ;-) ].

"I feel data security is, in general, dealt with harshly. For big industries like aviation and automobile, it does make sense to have all measures to secure data tightly. But for everyday consumer products, reverse engineering and creating similar products has become so simple that it doesn’t make sense to spend a lot of money on data security for it."

That's an absolutely shocking statement for him to make.

I still can't see what it can offer over Fusion 360 which for members of this board is a free CAD/CAM application and not just CAM

Whats new in OnCreate3D

April Deployment of OnCreate3D, First Full Cloud CAM App, (www.OnCreate3D.com) added Stock definition, editing and using the Stock for roughing toolpath operations. May 01, deployment has added many interesting features that will make OnCreate3D more user friendly. First important one is the part orientation followed by WCS definition. CAD modelers may have different default orientation that may not match orientation for machining in OnCreate3D. Users can now rotate imported CAD geometry around X, Y or Z axis to orient part properly within OnCreate3D. User can also define WCS with respect to part bounding box.

21492

Second important feature is the facility to Edit existing toolpath operation. Users can right click on toolpath operation in tree view to edit the already create toolpath. When user changes some parameters in toolpath dialog box and clicks OK, the toolpath is re-created and displayed to user again.

21493

Third important feature is to share project along with toolpath operations and NC File to other users already registered with OnCreate3D. When you have spent considerable time creating toolpaths that will machine a part correctly, you can simply share your project with other users, so they save valuable time. A machinist can create toolpath operations in his office and then shares project with operator or manager at shop floor. operator just downloads NC File and start cutting the job. User can give Read, write or copy permissions to other users.

21494

We are adding many more features in months to come. Stay tuned with us and make the MOST OF FREE BETA version until June 2017. You can subscribe to OnCreate3D by clicking sign-up button at www.OnCreate3D.com.

How is the machine topology defined? Is it fixed as a conventional 3-axis milling machine or can users edit the machine definition, for example to add a 4th axis and define it's orientation on the bed?

Currently, conventional machine i.e. VMC is assumed. We are working on machine definition and orientation to give flexibility to users. Rotary will be introduced after Beta completion. Regards.
