Hello people i'm new to this and could certainly use some advice. Can i really make a cnc machine if i know nothing about electronics or computing? If you are reasonably competant with basic hand tools and have an eye for accuracy then yes. Its a learning curve but thats why forums exist and people like us are here to help.

Do lots of reading, understand the basics.

have a look at:
http://buildyourcnc.com/latest.aspx
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-Three-Axis-CNC-Machine-Cheaply-and-/
http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-to-Build-Desk-Top-3-Axis-CNC-Milling-Machine/

for some basic ideas...

Think carefully about what you want to achieve, dont be too ambitious for a first attempt (nevertheless there have been some impressive 1st attempts here and on CNC Zone)

Any more questions, just ask...

oh, one last point about forum etiquette... its always better to start your own thread rather than hijack anothers... (something even our more senior members forget sometimes!) <edit>As I wrote this, Lee moved it into your very own thread!</edit>
