The cog looks similar but no, the video is a Gantry Job, it does vertical milling operations on the parts first with a Z axis you could park a Mini in, scale it down and it would look just like one of Jazz's routers, but maybe not quite as over-engineered as Jazz's stuff ;-)

That was a serious machine ! (Unless it was a normal size machine with very small people running it?)

The Z axis actually moved the whole gantry beam up and down, which although I've seen it done is unusual on DIY machines.

I wonder what tolerance they can hold?

If you watch closely the area above the tool whilst it's skimming the top and inside surfaces you can see that there is a Z with 1m to 2m travel which seems to be what they use for this job rather than movement of the whole gantry.
