Hi guys,

In the continuing saga to build a CNC machine based on the Solsylva plans (not from wood but now in aluminium extruded section - thanks everyone for the steer ) I'm now trying to find a UK source for XL timing pulley's and belts. I've contacted a couple of companies for prices but they seem slow to respond. Pulleys are double flanged, with hub 15-tooth and belt is 2100mm approx, 414 teeth. Does anyone know of a good supplier of these items?

Surprisingly, good old Radio Spares

Usually expensive they seem to have a bargain basement and choice when it comes to XL pullets and belts

Even cheaper if you swap to the HDT series [ or is it HTd ] ?

I buy all mine from there, never found anywhere any cheaper.

plenty of people have said they have but when I've rung up by the time you add shipping [ RS is free if web ordered ] they work out dearer.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've managed to find 2 suppliers for the XL pulleys - Medway Power Transmissions and Lakeland Power Transmissions. Works out to about £13 including carriage for 3 aluminium double flanged pulleys with hub pilot bored (so I can drill out to the size I want). Just trying to track down an 82" long XL pulley belt now!
