Hi Folks, just dipping my toes and doing some research for a CNC plasma table so that I can take the fabrication of chassis & hub dyno's in-house.

HI Gerry and welcome to the forum.

As always the advise is to not buy anything electronics, motors etc. until you have a plan. Have a look through some of the build logs on here and ask lots of questions. Plasma needs a different approach to a lot of the build on here and needs special attention to screening and grounding etc

Start a build log and keep all the questions in one place. Setting it out in CAD will more than pay for itself because you will need it in the end. Fusion360 is becoming the cad of choice for quite a few (free if your turnover is less than £100k or hobbyists I believe)

Thanks for the welcome & salient advice.

I've recently just moved over to Fusion360 & finding my way around it.

Here is a hub dyno we designed and had the material laser cut for assembly and testing in our own workshop.
