Hi,

I need a lot of Hiwin HG35 linear rail, or OEM similar for a job in the UK. I need 26m in 2m and 1m lengths. I can buy via Hong Kong or China but will almost certainly incur UK import taxes.

Anybody got a good UK or EU supplier or supply to consider. The Chinese stuff i'm looking at is GBP 0.07 per mm, thats without any import tax added.

Thanks

The chinese stuff you are looking at is a good price it seems. I buy the 20 size at 60$ per meter. Problem is a supplier you have not worked with could result in a disaster. I and most people on forum use BST Automation from aliexpress. Guys name is Fred and service is 100% perfect and on time. You could mention even that i send you there, tell him Boyan from Spain. I buy regularly from him and most of all all comes packed very well. Apart from all that personally he has beaten any other Chinese offer price wise, at least for my orders.

The big deal with China is especially if you need machined ball screws. Anyway Hiwin will be 1/3 to 1/2 the price after paying import taxes. Here in Spain i pay 21% on declared value +shipping cost, and still is very much worth. Directly from UK ZappAutomation is a respected forum meber and most responsive from all. I have tried in the past some.
