Vcarve Desktop v9

Hi all,
Is there a way to make a scroll pattern/laser pattern with vcarve (milling) I went to practice on a walking dead design (for practice purposes so no copyrighted malarkey involved) but even using the smallest drill bit Vcarve seems to murder all attempts, I'm just wondering if it is/is not do able and or I am going about it all wrong.
Here is the image I loaded to attempt to recreate.

Should be no problem with that image, take a look at some of the tutorials Vectric have and practice.
