View Full Version : chinese 3040 3 axis cnc router

Hi My name is bill i did a lot of hand routing making signs to a certain degree of success so i thought i would venture into the world of cnc routing which has me totally baffled. i bought a chinese 3040 3 axis machine new last February it came with mach 3 software which i was able to install ok to a desktop computer running windows xp. the router control box is connected to the pc through a usb b connection on the controler box into a usb port on the pc i can move the axis motors on the screen using my keyboard but i have yet to get any of the axis motors to actually move on the machine the mach 3 diagnostics screen seems to be ok as i have to lights telling me that the ports and pins are set wrong i was wondering if anyone could help me out

I owned a 3040 CNC before. I remember that you need to configure the axis motors in Mach3. Please see my dropbox link below. You will find the manual for the CNC. The zip file contains photos of the manual I used. The manual came with the machine.
