Hi Kingfisher,

Thats looks pretty impressive. How rigid is that base without some diagonal X-bracing?

What's the expected performance/resolution/accuracy?

I see from your other thread you've bought Gecko drivers. You wont go wrong with those and wiring it up wont be hard. What are you planning to use for leadscrews and what motors are they? Just wondering how you decided on the sizing - did you calculate it or go for the 'what everyone else uses' approach!

Hi
thanks for the comments, The base is very strong and rigid i was surprised myself!
the motors are 1203oz nema 34,these are monsters!
performance, Well i don't expect it to move like a ballet dancer as the volume of the build is huge...im hoping it will cut aluminium for my next build!
regarding motion drive, Ballscrews all the way!
hmm wiring these drives and power is a real worry for me :(

Hi KingFisher, Did you go down the 4 X 4 Mechmate route? Did you use the parts that they listed? If you did then post onto their forum for a wiring schematic, or is their anyone on this forum who knows how to wire the motors and can help?
