Hi There,

Ok I am currently in the design phase of building a machine for my business to do alot of the drilling and edging work involved in the drums I make.

My question is I have some motors which are astrosyn 34 they are 3 v/phase 4 a/phase and 1.8deg per step

I am looking for some controller boards that dont cost the earth for these and I need it to be 4 axis I was wondering if anyone can recommend anything ?

I have seen these on ebay and have emailed the guy about them but do they look like they might work ?

Anyway thanks for any help in advance :)

No these will not be suitable.
They are only 2.5 amp per phase and output a maximum of 19 volts.

Your type 34's will need about 48 volts at 4 amps to get reasonable performance.

What ever you do, dont get them ! StepMasterNC have BAD feedback on these forums with delays and so on. The item on the link is also no good for your motors !

Your motors need a little somthing more like john said, so try this link: Click Here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-2A-50V-Microstepping-Stepper-driver-ideal-for-CNC_W0QQitemZ130154526059QQihZ003QQcategoryZ42899Q QcmdZViewItem)

Hope this helps, Motion Control Products is a good choice and also sell's the Power Supplies to go with there Drivers/Controllers. You could build your own PSU very easily and the cost will be about the same so the choice is yours really, just run everything your looking at via these forums and everyone will do there best to help you. :-)

Welcome to the forums !
