TOOL TOUCH PROBE D5F-2B34C-Y
This part is brand new and boxed.

I bought the last one for £127 but he has put another up and it starts at £50

This is an Omron, 4 way, optical, sealed switch with ceramic touch pads and 1 micron repeatability. Retails at about £580 + tax

Get one while they're hot :naughty:

Have a picture...

1 micron = 0.000039"

I finally get something accurate on the mill, even if all it does is tell me how naff the rest of it is. Well, and let me get back in perfect alignment after moving the head on it's round column of course. Now I have to add a lever so it can do the Z

Hi Robin,
have you had any success with the Z lever?

Not yet, had two attempts at cutting the fixing.

First try the kettle + electric heater overlaoded the fuse and plunged me in to darkness. Second attempt, didn't notice the sudden cessation of power had taken the tool tip off

I shall persevere

Unit looked a tadge vulnerable so I contacted the seller and bought 2 more at his start price :heehee:

Z lever done, the Omron switch does everything it said on the tin, un-freaking-believeable. Farnell list them for £1664 + tax
