Following on from another thead it seems important to concider the way they are mounted.

As the bearings are open then there is at least a 50% reduction in that plane, I have used 30% as a worst case. Using a quick graphical calculation it looks like the best acheivable strengh is 2/3 the stated load rating and 1/4 if mounted wrong.

I realise that some designs are based on ease of manufacture and that if the reduced load capacity is still greater than any load generated in use then there wont be any problems.

However if building on a budget it might be worth looking at.
