i tried using the T series and gave up due to too much friction and binding, so i got some proper ball bearing carriages,
i would advise using supported round rail for the cheap option or profile rail and carriages for the expensive route.

A better system in my opinion would be DryLin W, more flexible bearing spacing and lower cost: http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/default.aspx?pagename=drylin_w
