I have signed up to learn more about CNC mills.
I am a mechanical engineer but I am all thery and no practical experience.
I am looking to buy a entry mill and hopefully produce prototypes in Aluminum.

Welcome and have fun. There is a lot of practical that you can learn here. Depending on what you want as a beginning machine building it may be at the same price point and you will know what you are dealing with from the ground up.
