Hi all.
Signed up here as i'm currently struggling with controllers for my cnc mill.
Frame, bed, gantry and drive system are all done.
But I'm struggling with choice of steppers and drive circuits, would really like to build it all myself.

Hi Knuckles, and welcome to the site. Get yourself a build log going (in the build logs section) - we love lots of pictures! You'll find lots of advice and discussion in the Electronics section. My advice to you regarding building stepper drivers is that, while it can be done, it isnt any cheaper (having done it myself), and certainly wont get the sophistication of a manufactured device. If price is your concern then consider the all-in-one boards off eBay but understand their limitations....
