Hi there mycncuk.
I'm from the midlands and currently building my first diy cnc machine.
I work in a sheet metal factory which uses plenty of cnc equipment for bashing metal. I personally operator a cnc laser engraver while running the integration department where we add electronics to the core sheetmetal products. We manufacture various products from mass spectrometers to lighting assemblies etc. If you've used a coffee nation machine before, I designed all the electrics and manufactured them as a turn-key solution:)
I do 3D modeling as a hobby (www.polysoul.deviantart.com (http://www.polysoul.deviantart.com)), software (databases etc) and have a masters in electronic engineering, so making a cnc machine was a natural challenge which fits my education and career.
