I could cnc mill some like that for you. Will hopefully be able to do them cheaper ... I'll work it out...
How many do you need, 3? I've got enough aluminium in stock for 3, maybe 4.

If there's anything else, let me know...

Does this look ok?

Hopefully you can open it in sketchup:

I've done a dimensioned drawing of the mount in case anyone else would like one/more:

4298

(The 4 holes in the 3D drawing in my previous post are in the wrong place...)

Coupling OD is also a factor for this type of motor mount, what max OD have you allowed for Jonathan?

32mm.
It's on the drawing in code, only dressmakers and the BBC dimension diameters as radii.

On the BBC they'd skip the interesting bit with dimensions!

I thought it was neater to dimension the radii, here's a version with mostly diameters:

4303

I can obviously make that hole bigger if required, up to about 50mm.

I can bring the items over to you if you want when they arrive I don't mind waiting if you want

I'm in no hurry to complete my cnc I figure it's going to take me three or four months to do anyway

Plus it would be nice to see a DIY cnc up close

How do they fasten to the machine ?

They are tapped M5 on both sides. So either use that or use 4 >50mm M4 bolts through the whole mount... I could put a shoulder on them with parting tool to make it so you can fasten from the same side as the motor without using the same bolts for the motor and fixing to frame.

Hi John S

Do you produce these for sale or to order? I am currently estimating the build cost for a cnc based on HiltonSteve excellent design and will be in the market for 3 Nema 23 mounts. Can you PM details

Thanks
Mike
