Simple question:-

What is the best sheet alloy for machining? 6061?

The other properties are relatively unimportant for my intended use.

Which supplier do people use?

Thanks

I think 6061 machines the most easily and seems to easily leave a good finish, for example:

4730

4729

I use http://www.aluminiumwarehouse.co.uk/ but they don't do 6061.
