free post processers

Apart from EMC2 are there any other free controllers, don't want to pay for Mach3, well not yet anyway. Tried EMC2 but for some reason won't run on my PC.

Wouldn't run, error log said it couldn't find a "Lapic" on the pc. So i tried an earlier version of EMC2 and it now runs ok, first one might have been a bad install. Got to admit was a little apprehensive about using it after trialing Mach3, but i now like it. Does what it says on the tin.

You should have gone to radio rentals.....this is quite common but all the help you need is on the EMC2 site. Persevere with it as you will appreciate it in the long run :wink:

I did try that, but it still wouldn't run.

That's a shame, i had similair prob on an earlier machine and it worked for me. I'm gad you have something working though, i much prefer it to M3
