2 pcs of 1000mm long HGR20C HIWIN rails
12 pcs of HGH20CA HIWIN linear bearing blocks (6 bearings are still in original packaging) + some grease nipples, green plugs(2sizes) and linear bearing inserts

Hi there ,

Quite interesting deal...

Do you remember the preload value of these bearings ?

cheers.

As far as I remember preload was ZA, but I don't have any invoice to confirm it. Maybe there is a way to tell preload from engraved code on bearing HGH20CA 0A084-3B??

ZO = Light Preload
ZA = Medium Preload
ZB = Heavy Preload

That's exactly what I ordered- ZA Medium preload. It suppose to be used for rigid vertical CNC mill. Does the code on bearing confirms preload??

Hi again, here is what I found out.

To determine the preload of the HIWIN HGH20CA slide, just put the slide on the rail and hold the rail vertically. If the slide moves under its own weight the preload is Z0.
If not it is ZA. ZB is available for bigger slides only.
If you still have the packaging you can also find the preload value there (like on the picture) :
The C at the end is the precision value according to the HIWIN catalogue and determines the price of the slide.
ZA is good preload for a precise and stiff XY table on a CNC.
Are the items sold yet?

Cheers.

hi iak65
So it looks like they're ZA- they don't slide down by themselves
I still have them, but after unsuccessful attempt to sell them few times on fleebay I decided (rather got funds) to carry on with my cnc mill project as planned.
That's the screen capture how I plan the mill to looks like
5979 5980
Basically structure is going to be 6mm steel plate milled to size + I plan to fill it up with epoxy granite for extra rigidity.
