Hi guys, great to find a site that's UK based. I'm late 30's mainly experienced in electrics/electronics as an ex aircraft electrician. I did an MOD engineering apprenticeship many moons ago and had some hands on with lathes and mills. Now I would like to work making models/toys/signs etc out of wood and maybe at a push some light work with ally.
Looking at getting the best kind of machine in and around the 1k mark (not an easy feat.. I know lol!) I have been looking around for the right sort of cnc router and not so keen on buying the chinese ebay specials.
Just looking to get to learn off you guys and have a laugh doing so. I live near Glasgow. But please don't let that put you off ;-)
