I’m working on brake conversions usingPorsche calipers on Vw/Bmw/Audi.
I have very little experience in millingbut my father is professional miller so should have it in my blood :smile-new:. He’s old school so can’t help me on this.
I’ve got myself Amadeal ama25lv mill. I wouldlove to convert it to cnc. I need to make quite simple brackets and having themill converted to cnc will be handy to do it.
Does anyone have done it on this mill? If sowill you convert my one and how much will it cost?
Are there any shops that can do this sortof staff?

Hi Thomas,

I ordered some motor's from them a long time ago, i got them in the end but it took weeks for them to come and a few phone call's. I was told the reason was the guy running the show had injured himself bal bla bla.

So i would say maybe expect a wait but they should come good. You may get a great service from them and not have the problems i did, what was you thinking about buying?

He will be doing the 3axis cnc converion on my mill.
Hope it will take a bit quicker than your order took.

What do you want to order from them? I've had a quick look and they seem rather expensive to me. eBay is your friend...

They will curry the whole conversion for me. I will leave the mill with them and they will supply all the parts (with ball bearings) and labour. As i'm new to it i can't convert it by myself. Price to pay (not fully confirmed) is £850-£1000.
Is this ok?
Do you know some other companys?
This has been recomend by Amadeal ltd.

Is this to fit ball screws as part of the kit and what size drivers.?

ball screws not bearings, sorry still learning.
to be honest with you guys i don't have a clue.
Any recomendation on this (size driver) and what does it do?

this is what's in the kit:
3 axis stepper motor driver3 x ball screws and nuts
3 x stepper motors, pulleys and belts, drive housings
1 x control software licence
3 sets of thrust bearing, & ball bearings

To be honest and I have done a few Warco versions of the same mill that sounds very cheap.
I could not do one for that price but having said that I refuse to cut corners.

If it's the mechanical kit at £500 plus the E2 kit at £150 it still needs all the machining doing so there isn't a lot left.
that E2 kit isn't top class.
For a start it's not got a proper breakout board to protect the computer and with no 5v supply it may not work with a lot of 3.3v parallel port computers.
The drives in this kit, - well I'd sooner say no more, I'll leave that to Jazz :loyal:
