Good Day All.

I am looking for advice regarding buying new tools for my cnc router/mill.

Upto now I have just been buying my tools (endmills) etc, from eBay.

I have now opened a credit account with Cutwel Limited. (http://www.cutweltools.co.uk)

The main materials I work with are, Aluminium, Plastics, PCB's.

I order most of my PCB tools from MegaUK (http://www.megauk.com).

Being new to CNC, I don't know what type tools or coating of the tools would be best suited to my jobs.

Here is a few of the coating options from there milling cutters range.

K2 Carbide.
Uncoated Carbide.
X-Power Carbide.
Jet-Power Carbide.
X-5070 Nano Carbide.
Tank Power.
V7 Mill.
Diamond Coated.
HSS 8% Cobalt.

Can you please advice.

Something from their Soft Materials range?
What one will depend more on how many flutes, which comes down to spindle speed, cutting speed and spindle power.

Generally carbide will last longer, but cost more.

Bit of a limited range, have you not discovered Drill Service (http://www.drill-service.co.uk/) ?
