Hi All

I have just ordered my Stepper Drivers, Breakout board & P.S.U. I now need to house them. Can anyone recommend were to buy cases or enclosures to mount this equipment in, or any other mounting ideas.

Regards

Ray

You could try your local electrical wholesaler. They should be able to supply an enclosure easily.

Common ideas:

Old PC case

Wall mounted electrical cabinet (often can find used ones on ebay like here (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stainless-Steel-Electrical-Enclosure-Cabinet-with-fittings-230x320x160-/271031703635?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Automation_Contr ol_ET&hash=item3f1abf9853)and here (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eldon-AMD0504015-500x400x150-Electrical-Enclosure-Cabinet-/271031695271?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Automation_Contr ol_ET&hash=item3f1abf77a7))

The links I posted before are all 99p + £16 postage... i got mine a couple of years back and the postage wasn't as high but IIRC the box was £1 (not the same seller tho). If you won all 3 auctions he lists (http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/mr_d_paterson/m.html?afsrc=1&clk_rvr_id=373545524041&hash=item3f1abf77a7&item=271031695271&pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Automation_Control_ET&rt=nc&_trksid=p4340.l2562)at £1 and drove to pick them up they'd be about £17.50 each i reckon :)

I've used one of these for mine: Fibox - Cabinet - CAB ABS 504020 G (http://catalogs.fibox.com/catalogs/SearchProduct.taf?_function=detail&_listcall=1&Product_uid1=1369&_UserReference=DD7EDFEE69EE0D8F50240713) think they was about £75 at the time. Its nice, ABS, Din support, IP rated and so on.

Cant wait to finish it, got a nice little setup to go inside.

No chance I'm nearer Wellingborough than you are, don't want it but I'd buy it just so you didn't get it, ask Chris :very_drunk:

I think a lot of this stuff that E-bay has for 99p often has silly postage rates. The real trick is to find one nearby that's easy to collect.

Wellingborough is Ok, just had a look on google and it's only about 70mm away on the screen - no contest.
