Hi all. Great site looks like you have a lot of experienced members. I want start designing my fist cnc. I have a question before I start. I want to build a 4 axis mill for cutting stone, and steel. My question is I want to build it completely out of steel. It seems most people use aluminum ( I assume for weight) but I have a full metal fab shop set up for steel not aluminum. I would assume steel should be fine, I would just need Bigger motors. What's the best way to determine the motor size I will need? I was thinking a table size of 300mm x 600mm. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
