Hi all,

Just purchased a cnc router last month - my first forray into the world of cnc. I have a few years experience in wood working using the usual tools and equipment but this takes things to a different level. I'm sure there will be lots of tears and tantrums as I find my way about. First came across this website when I was doing general research into what type of machinery I should buy etc. You can't buy the amount of experience and knowledge that forums like this generate. I look forward your input at some stage in the future

First question I do have - can I use fluted router bits on my cnc spindle? There is only ever mention of end mill bits

cheers Steve

Yes you can and they're a good choice to learn with as they can be very cheap.

Thanks Jonathan. Yes, bits can be quiet expensive.
