New member here, based in Bishops Stortford, Herts. I have a hobby of building large scale traction engine models and a reasonable shop with two lathes, two milling machines, drill, vertical slotter, mig welder and small plasma cutter.

i had an idea to introduce myself to CNC stuff and build a small plasma table to get some more usage out of my plasma cutter.

I'm pretty good with electronics but never used anything CNC.

Hi Dave, wellcome to the forum. Your hobby and workshop sound very interesting. Once you start playing about with cnc I am sure you will soon be smitten and will wonder how you ever managed without it. It probably won't stop at the plasma as you will realize uses are only limited by your own imagination. Good luck with your project. G.
