New from Norway

Hello, I'm new to this forum so here's a short presentation of me.
I'm a motorcycle enthusiast first of all, and with that metalworking comes in handy.
I've recently purchased an old used lathe by the type Boxford BUD MARK II.
It's not running at the moment, I'm told that it's only some electrical work, mechanical it is supposed to be fine. Got a goal to get this running and mechanical serviced by the end of the summer 2014.
I also have a manual milling machine, not sure of what make and model, it has a three phase motor like the lathe and I don't have that in my garage :(

My wife and I got engaged in Tromso and would love to visit Norway again one day, where are you from?

Are you hoping make a new cnc machine or maybe convert your lathe/mill to cnc?

Hi Jim. Thanks for the welcome, I'm from Våle, a small place 80km south of Oslo.
I'm not thinking about cnc conversion of my lathe or milling machine for now. I stumbled on to this site by Googleing Boxford and hope to find and contribute technical q&a.
