Hi All,
.
After a couple of tries using L shaped brackets for double sided milling of aluminium blocks, I'm trying to come up with something a little more "flexible" than the L shaped bracket and toe clamps i.e. something that either cuts down toe clamps to a minimum or gets rid of them altogether.
.
I have Sketchup'ed something to show my thinking, but rather than make such an arrangement myself, wonder if there is something in the market that is available. The idea is that its essentially two parts/sides of a vice with a locating corner that can be bolted (after alignment) to the T-Slot table?
.
Work sizes are in the 200x200x30/40mm area.
.
Cheers
.
Chris

Hi washout
something like this any good Low Profile Clamps (http://www.homews.co.uk/page108.html)
In the Machine shop i used to work in the Millers would have a parallel ground a good fit in the bed slots and use a clamp similar principle to the ones in the link but @ 90 deg

Ah good find thanks - given me some ideas for something I can make, which avoids things like "lift" in the pic above.

Maybe a self centering low profile vice will do the job?
