Hello From Sussex.
Just joined your Impressive looking forum. Been in engineering all my working life and own my own workshop with mostly conventional machines. I make miniature steam engines under the banner- PhilCraft and model boat parts.
I have just updated a Emco 5 CNC to Welturn, and am planning to do same to Denford Starmill.
Not sure best route to take with Mill as yet.
Looking forward to spending time here
Phil Gravett.

Hi Phil, I like your work a lot.
Always had a thing for live steam, still got a small Mammod from when i was a kid.
Found the images below in the first links when I searched for PhilCraft; Im far from an expert but they look lovely

Thats not an engine....This is my old man with an engine :D

Ah, the good old days before Health and Safety.

We used to bunk off school and nip down the engine sheds. If you turned the engine on the turntable they'd usually let you drive it off

Lovely pic kip, wish i had dad when i was growing up and access to those kinds of things.

Think the best i ever got was to ride shotgun with the local milkman .

Here's the Deltic.

http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Tomlinson.htm

I met Clen at the Bristol show two years ago, didn't go last year, really nice guy.

I asked him hesitantly as some of these guys are real died in the wool and get upset, if it was done manually or on CNC.

His answer was "Do you think I'm mad, it was done on CNC !"
