Hey All,

I was referred to this forum by one person from reddit since I was asking about building a machine and they said I should come here for guidance, so ye thats my goal is to build (for now) a 2.5D CNC mill and would be interested in learning as much as I can to do it right and as solid as I can.

Welcome to the forum, have a read of all the build logs you can find and get as much information from them as possible. Don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how stupid they may seem. There's a nice build going on at the moment http://www.mycncuk.com/threads/7662-DIY-CNC-Milling-Machine-From-Scratch that might offer you some guidance depending on exactly how big you want to build it etc.
