Hi guys,

can you please confirm what I bought and used is correct?

I got this grease and used it a bit on one of my blocks to test http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KCWWFC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

however I dont feel the movement got any smoother plus some of the grease got out from the top which was surprising!

am I missing something? the grease gun nozzle fit with a click onto the block grease nipple and the grease is type is recommended from what I read.

what else to check? I'm new to the game with no background in any mechanical work but willing to learn everything!

Yes, thats the one. That happens, it must come out from somewhere, just make things slowly so you don't damage the seals. The Bearings block is preloaded so its not meant to be judged by hand movement. I just make that from both sides to be sure its full of grease.
Now the thing is that i stopped using nozzles at all. I just needled the side plastic holes both sides and use a small grease gun with conical tip pressed against the plastic. Works like a charm. Easy to rech and grease. No dust could go inside from the small needle hole.

Yes. A must i would say. From reading pdfs it seems it is even more critical for the ball screw to be greased right at the moment at putting it at service.
