Not sure if I should just put all these projects into one thread, so merge if you need to Lee.

Also I've left the"warts" in e.g. the double sided tape not sticking.....

erm, scuse my ignorance , but if the outside 'Y' arm and the bobbin are both spinning at the same speed then how does the thread get wound on ? ... *blush*

A good question, I'll ask the "operator" in a sec.......I just made them the same as the original...no idea how the thing works....gulp

OK the verdict is that the nylon line, which runs in the groove I cut into the larger diameter disc is tensioned using a peg, which then retards the bobbin in relation to the Y arms. So the whole assembly spins at a rate that twists the fleece, but the bobbin is slower and the spun thread then get laid around it.
