Just found this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CONECT-NUMERICAL-CONTROL-CNC-CONTOUR-ROUTER_W0QQitemZ260426621190QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM?hash=item3ca2a2e106&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1688%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50) on the bay

1 hour left, wonder what it will go for?

Just seen they have a little boxford lathe too, too late for me to bid :(

Actually it's not a router as such.

It's a mill with no head and a simple holder in it's place.

Conect used Myford Ml10 lathes for their lathe conversions and the mill is based on the Rishton miller.

http://www.lathes.co.uk/rishton/index.html

Early machines were on BBC computers and later ones could run off a PC on some DOS based software [ notice that's not advertised with the machine ]

Electronics are very specialised, custom mother board with daughter boards for steppers and motor controls. Basically that specialised you have to gut it and about the only useable items are the motors and transformer.

I have just converted a larger version of a Conect Router that was built from extruded sections not unlike what many are building on this forum, about 24" square but with the exact same electrical cabinet. Again gut and replace and it has turned out a nice machine.

He's a Conect mill I bought recently, note the bed is the same as the Ebay router.

Got a lathe and mill from a college in Ireland, in storage at the moment whilst I bid for more floor on Ebay
