Hello,

I've been reading this forum for a long time and i thought to introduce myself. My name is Matt and I come from Slovenia. Almost a year ago i had a big wish to make myself a cnc for milling mostly aluminium. I had zero experiences with cnc world but i was determined to build myself a cnc. I started to design it and here is what came out:

18017

It is not complete yet since i am planing to close it completely if it shows necessary. So, from render to reality, here is the latest pic how far i came:

18016

Mechanical parts are basically all put together except some missing bellows and protective sheets of metal. What comes next is electronic where my knowledge is very very limited. With big help of JAZZCNC i decided what is the best option to run this machine. I went with 400W servos and CSlab controller. When all is done i will try to introduce it in build forum.

Thanks for reading.

Best regards,

Matt.

Hi Matt and welcome

Great to see so many people from all over the world on this forum.

Machine looks really promising - I'm working on a twin beam gantry with box Z so would be very interested in your build log with lots of pictures when you are ready

Great work so far and if Dean has been giving pointers you should be well on your way

That looks like a good solid build, i would really appreciate a build log for this one.
How extensive are your workshop facilities, i am limited to a centre lathe.
Nice work
Regards
Mike
