started out life as toolmaker fitter apprentice in the early 70,s
in the aviation industry
got into nc machines around 1975 (moog 1000/ moog 1000 atc)
then moog 3000 cnc , interact 145, matchmaker with fanuc 6mb control
moved to dorset and ended up working for working for myself in propety
maintanance for the next 30 odd years
retired one year ago now into hobby engineering with bench top cnc mill
cnc lathe, two c/lathes and vertical mill making stationary engines

i have a cnc mill a warco conversion done by a very
nice man kevin freeman from essex have had no issues with it for two years
i will try and post some pics
not very good with computors and rely on my two sons
to help

It looks like you have quite a bit of kit there I have a Warco that I have converted with ball screws and steppers and also a Myford converted to cnc. You certainly seem to have the skills if you can make parts like those of the engine.

I take it you are a ham I did mine in 1965 but did not do the morse till another 20 years hence the G0HHR

Hello Geoff,sorry about the delay in coming back to you. I sent you an email, and hopefully you have got it. Were you a radio ham earlier on in life? I have given up my radio comms, as I really only used it when I was in the forces, as it gave me a lot of flexibility, and I used to design and build big amplifiers.

I am right in the middle of getting a new 3 phase motor and controller for my old Myford ML7. I see you have a good selection of machines in your workshop, which gives you the ability to tackle some interesting constructions.
