    Thank you for the subtle hint Robin!!!

    The planning for Option 3 so far consists of a pile of scribbled notes and sketches ... The good news as far as I am concerned at the moment though is that SWMBO has OK'd the building of a new Shed/Workshop to build the beast in . The Surface table weighs in at just short of 500Kg not including the base/stand, so moving it around is a tiny bit awkward to say the least!!

    Seeing as the table top is 4' X 2' it seems logical ...

  2. Hobby cnc for wood signs and basic designs

    Hi
    I'm completely new to the CNC world and would like some advice from the experts.
    (As you will probably tell from my post below, my knowledge is nearly zero!!)
    Firstly my only experience of routing is using my handheld router using Trend Letter templates and also the Milescraft Spirorouter, these to make basic wooden signs and decorative fronts for bird nest boxes.

  3. looking to sell

  4. A start!!

    Here we are on on wet Bank Holiday Weekend ... but thanks to the generosity of Robin and Andy I am getting ready to build. I am faced with 3 options.

    1/ To follow the plans I have from www.data-cut.com.
    2/ To build the Mill (jpeg and pdf on earlier post).
    3/ To build a flat bed mill using my old 4' X 2' surface table as a base.

    Each has it's upside and downside, the data-cut will give me the ability to go straight into production of the things I believe ...
