DIY CNC spindle cuts aluminum
Cutting aluminum with a $60 router, at 7000 RPM (to get a good result) and 18 IPM, 0.5mm DOC. Cutting finish came out good. Normally routers cannot be used at such low RPMs but this router is connected to a SuperPID closed loop speed controller that gives it enough low speed power to cut well in aluminum.
