- 20 years in the Royal Navy as mechanical engineer, medically discharged in august 1994 due to a car crash, couple of years at college doing hnd mechatronics, worked for a year at Stirling fluid systems repair depot in Livingston as operations manager. Lost the job because of the health & safety executive (thanks guys). Bought a sign franchise which cost a fortune & ended up costing me everything I had plus my marriage & health.
Just work part time now because of health problems but have a disability pension from the RN which is reasonable & helps a lot.
