Emco compact 5 CNC - If given a blank canvas and a limited pocket book, which way would you go to convert the machine to modern control. Considering spindle speed control, encoder, and 6 position turret. Initially try the existing steppers and put in new motor controllers and BoB. Are there any pitfalls to 6P turret?
Have converted several mills and routers but not a lathe.
