Help appreciated

High all have been browsing forum and decided to test the waters I am wanting to purchase a CNc router to learn on but do not want to waste a grand or so on a Chinese one of eBay as everyone on here and other sites all seem to say they are a tad unreliable. So thought i would ask if any of you guys have a set up available for sale prob around £1200 or so looking for A3 size I know its just to learn on but want it too last wife doesn't like me to waste my money :0 any advice etc would be much appreciated
