Linux cnc
Hi everyone,
I have been running a 3040 cnc with linux cnc for a while now with no issues but I got a 6040 now and when I upload my work from fusion 360 the z axis start position is wanting to start off in the actual work piece. I'm not the best at explaining so I have uploaded a pic lol

Re: Linux cnc
Check your G30 position.
You can use G30.1 to set the current position to G30.

Re: Linux cnc
Back in another millennium I had a brother-in-law called Richard Tweed. I'm guessing you are not him!
I use LinuxCNC but will need more information to help you. What have you done in changing from one machine to the other?

Re: Linux cnc
Hahaha I may or may not be the person in question lol
I haven't changed any setting from switching machine although I have tried to change the z axis setting in the stepcon wizard but no matter what settings i use i still have the same issue, all axis ect work fine it's just the z axis height.

Re: Linux cnc
Not sure how else to help you without knowing all about your machine, the homing/limit switch setup and how you zero your Z axis for the material being cut.
