Hello from up north
Hi all, My name is Mark.
I am by trade an electrical engineer, but by the grace of god I'm not to shabby as a mechanical engineer either. ( I spent a few years in a tool room, running manual millers and a large surface grinder).
From being a young child I have always been fascinated by internal combustion engines, especially 4 stroke types. I regularly repair and modify model engines, but I have had a real wish to start bulding my own engines. Multi cylinder radials and flats etc being my main ambition. This is were the logical interest in CNC comes in.
I am presently reaserching the best way to go about retro fitting a CNC system onto my Myford speed 10 Lathe and my Warco Major milling machine complete with 4th axis rotary table.

Re: Hello from up north
Hi Mark and welcome to the site. We look forward to seeing some of your engines. We have a couple of members with Warco Major mills that have been modded and I am in the planning of my Warco Minor (essentially the same beast, just a tad smaller). Is yours a Gearhead?
