LeBlond 10ins described as a rare bird by the american site
Hi,here is an update to progress of my LeBlond,circa 1942 send over to Swan Hunters shipyard to help with the war effort ,used in the apprentice training school then rescued from the scrap man when the yard closed:

Looks a nice lump of equipment and well restored. My only concern is the position of that inverter drive - I don't think there are many worse positions you could have put it! The air vents are gonna fill up with swarfe and suds, followed closely by a puff of smoke.

Hi,Birchy might move it,but having said that l have already made a 3 sided cover top and one side and back so air can get at bottom the one side that is covered is ins clear to let air in same with top,so no water splashing or swarf can get in,and air can get in,its shaped to form ,drilled but tried it on yesterday and l didnt level the inverter when l put it on ,so l need to elongate the holes to allow slight movement,but l still might move it-Thanks for the advice-Brian

Should be OK if you can put a shroud over it. Might be better to mount the inverter inside somewhere and just have a small control box on the front of the machine with start/stop and speed pot?

Hi onecut.
You have done a lovely job going by your photos. Like the grey and red. Did you strip all the old paint off? What paints did you use?
Have just bought a 10" Regal lathe and about to refurbish it. Not too sure about stripping it apart. There is some wear on the bed and I might have to put up with that I have a manual for the lathe but not any instructions on how to start taken the lathe apart. Would you be able to guide me on this please?
To have bed, tailstock and saddle re ground is about £2000, a bit too rich for me. Grinding the bed is about £600 Did you have any grinding carried out?
