    Hi Guys

    In need of some help please I have been running my CNC machine using NCStudio for about 6 months now and its come the time to upgrade to Mach3 so purchased Breakout board CNC Stepper Motor 5 Axis Spindle Relay HG08 from CNC4You with Mach3 software and was offered surport with any issue or help need so far that been like pulling teeth painfull at times.

    So far I know which wires are the Pulse and Direction wires for X, Y, and Z on the machine.

    We would like to know what are the corresponding terminals on the HG08 breakout board.
    At a guess I'd say it was the...........
    Blue wire is PULSE- and should connect to CK on the HG08
    Green wire is DIR- and should connect to CW on the HG08

    Can anyone help with advice my machine is down at the moment and its killing me any help would be great and thank you in advance

    George

    Page 5 shows the diagram, what you suggest is correct however I can't confirm the wire colours.

    Sorry but Eddy you didn't look close enough it's not correct .!! This is correct.

    CW = DIR +
    CK = PUL +
    GND = Dir - & Pul -

    I looked at the top common anode diagram and put a link to the manual.

    CNC4YOU confirmed he corresponding terminals on the HG08 breakout board.

    Green wire is DIR- and should connect to CW on the HG08

    My next problem is getting 5v power to the board

    Hi edddy

    The board has a 5v point with 2 connection points mark with yellow dot in the picture I have established what I think is the 5V wire which was connected to the NCstudio board and marked 5v. Not sure which of the two points to connect this to on the HG08 board ? any help.

    Well the ones with the yellow dot are the power input and according to the manual it should be 7 to 55 volts, so 5v is no good, I would suggest a 24v supply.

    Here's the wiring diagram; http://cnc4you.co.uk/resources/CW504...%20Diagram.pdf

    Ok but didn't see that but still not the way I'd wire it.!! . Ideally we would like Differential outputs for best noise imunnity but we can't with this setup so next best would be Cathode IMO.
