    Welcome.

http://www.denfordata.com/bb/ is your friend for any Denford info. Numerous on the forum also have Denford experience.

Are you going to be rebuilding to Mach 3 or something else?

    Hi Chaz

I'm rebuilding to Mach3 for the StarMill and Orac but will probably use a standalone panel for the Emco VMC100

Cool, why different? What panel are you considering?

Moving to industry standard dialects of G-Code allows use of a wide range of CAD/CAM systems?
You think that's too expensive? You're not a Model Engineer are you? :D

I am going mach3 only because I had an old license from many years ago so the cost to me is a set of smoothstepper board. But if I were to do it again I would probably go with a dedicated panel. Mach3 license plus smoothstepper and breakout total 2/3 the price of one of the indistrial looking panels that support standard G/M codes. Also these panels support ATC (which I think will be easier to get going too) rather than have to write a bunch of macros.
