I am looking at doing a Bridgeport rebuild, is there a quality or cost difference using Turcite or Marlon anti friction material on the slideways?

I would wholeheartedly suggest you send the knee, saddle and table to a pro to get reground and antifriction stuff applied. Turcite has been considered the daddy but they are all much of a muchness nowdays.

Give slideway services in coventry a call on this one.

The latter. Brian is a very helpful guy and can get you machine in tip top shape for a very very good price.

You ship the saddle knee and table to him on a pallet and he does the rest.
