I know it's a crazy idea but you could use an internet based system to do this, a forum perhaps? ;-)
You think that's too expensive? You're not a Model Engineer are you? :D

Have you nothing better to say, then your plain silly remark

If I'd wanted to be silly I could do far better than suggesting you use the forum for it's design purpose, I'd say that plain silly is thinking that you can't usefully share hints and tips on the forum and limiting yourself to sharing with people who are geographically close to you.

hi, lets get one thing right. You are not the forum police ok. if you don't have anything better to do then poke your nose in places its not needed. just go away ok.
forums are ok as far as they go. but unlike you by the way you are acting. I also like to talk to people face to face. ok

Holy Sense-of-Humourectomy Batman! And yet still funny ;-)
You seem to misunderstand, a Forum is a Public resource, provided comments are on topic, in this case related to exchange of hints and tips then anyone is free to add to the thread and the Forum Police will keep their feet firmly on their desk ;-)
Here's a tip I'm happy to share, it's in the spirit of a Forum to share information, most people here are here because they don't mind sharing what they know and helping out, if that's not your bag there may be places where conversations are private and information isn't freely shared but I suspect the subjects covered aren't CNC and general engineering :D
Have you tried your local Model Engineering Society? That might be right up your street, figuratively speaking of course ;-)
